PRESS RELEASE 
 
On September 3-8, 2015, the St. John Sporting Center, Inc./V.I. Eagles in conjunction with the 
Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation will be traveling with 17 young people to 
participate in the 13 and under AAU Baseball International Championship in Fort Lauderdale, 
Florida. The AAU Championships consists of teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, 
Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Panama. 
It is the goal of this organization and the Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation to provide 
athletic experiences that would benefit our Virgin Islands’ youth.  This is an opportunity to 
register the players with a national organization, and have their records be available for future 
recruitment. The tournament that we are attending will showcase our players to high school and 
college scouts, as well as major league scouts.
