An Act requiring the Commissioner of the Department of Tourism to conduct a survey to assist 
in the establishment of an official dish and dessert of the Virgin Islands

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  (a) Pursuant to title 3, Virgin Islands Code, chapter 19, section 331 (a), 
2 
the Commissioner of the Department of Tourism shall conduct a territory wide survey to solicit 
3 
information from the residents of the Virgin Islands to assist in the establishment of an official 
4 
dish and dessert.

(b) 
The Commissioner shall develop a plan to ensure that the survey is widely 
6 
distributed to residents, and provide an analysis of the results to the Legislature no later than 
7 
180 days after the enactment of this act.

This bill requires the Commissioner of the Department of Tourism to conduct a territory

wide survey of the residents of the Virgin Islands to assist in the establishment of an official 
11 
dish and dessert of the Virgin Islands.
