Human Services Announces Temporary Closure to Mars Hill 
Administrative Building due to WAPA Water Outage 
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (VIDHS), is advising the 
community that due to WAPA water pump issues affecting the town of Frederiksted, St. Croix, the 
DHS Mars Hill Administrative Building, located in Frederiksted will be closing this Tuesday, February 
21, 2023 at 12:00pm due to a lack of running water at the facility. This closure will affect: 
  
Division of Family Assistance, (SNAP, LIHEAP, LIWAP, TANF/JOBS) Mars Hill, Frederiksted 
Medicaid Division, Mars Hill, Frederiksted
