Recommendation 3. It was unclear to the panel what deliverables, such as scientific papers, presentations, and graduate degrees, were the result of the current grant vs. past or other research funding. In addition, the educational endeavors and collaborations attributed to R2R were also vague. Thus, to assess the progress on the current grant, the VI EPSCoR project leads should develop clear guidelines on the expectations for project reporting to the team. The team should identify the tangible products and outcomes that were a direct result of the current VI EPSCoR grant and articulate how the project outcomes are related to the R2R objectives. A list of deliverables (e.g., proposals, presentations, publications) attributable to project Years 1 and 2, should be submitted to the managing PO by the deadline noted above. Subsequent reports (annual and final) submitted to NSF should include this information. Below is a list of deliverables for the first two years of the R2R project. This list is followed by the names of the MMES graduates who started and graduated since the beginning of the R2R project.
