Francis, Jr. WHEREAS, on August 2, 2022, the St. Thomas Committee of the Virgin Islands Coastal 1 Zone Management Commission issued Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZT-03- 2 20 (L&W) to SVB 155 SPRING LLC, D/B/A Independent Boatyard and Marina, for the 3 continued use and occupancy of docks and associated infrastructure seaward of Parcel Nos. 49, 4 75, 83, 101 Remainder, 101-B, 178 and 179 Estate Frydenhoj, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and 5 includes modification for a new ramp to haul Catamarans. The permit will also allow for the 6 continued use and occupancy of 2,310 sq. ft. of Parcel No. 178 and 9560 sq. ft. of Parcel No. 7 179 Estate Frydenhoj, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and the continued use and occupancy of 8 64,756 sq. ft. of submerged lands; 9 WHEREAS, the Governor of the Virgin Islands approved the permit on February 2, 10 2023; 11 2 WHEREAS, title 12 Virgin Islands Code, section 911(e) provides that the Governor's 1 approval of any coastal zone permit, or lease must be ratified by the Legislature of the Virgin 2 Islands; and 3 WHEREAS, it is the intent of this act to ratify the Governor’s Approval of Major Coastal 4 Zone Management Permit No. CZT-03-20 (L&W); Now, Therefore, 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 6 SECTION 1. Pursuant to title 21 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 21, section 911(e), the 7 Legislature of the Virgin Islands ratifies Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZT- 8 03-20 (L&W) issued to SVB 155 SPRING LLC, D/B/A Independent Boatyard and Marina 9 approved by the Governor on February 2, 2023, for the continued use and occupancy of docks 10 and associated infrastructure seaward of Parcel Nos. 49, 75, 83, 101 Remainder, 101-B, 178 11 and 179 Estate Frydenhoj, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and includes modification for a new 12 ramp to haul Catamarans.
