Re: Nomination of Mr. Roy L. Moorehead—Board of Parole
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with the provisions of Title 5, Chapter 401 § 45)1 of the Virgin Islands Code, I hereby
nominate Mr. Roy L. Moorehead to serve as a member of the Board of Parole and representative of the District
of St. Thomas-St. John. Mr. Moorehead brings valuable experience due to his former capacities as Director of
the Special Investigation Division and Special Agent of the Department of Justice. Additionally, he is an
accomplished veteran who has served federal, territorial, and executive posts with integrity and sound
judgment.
Accordingly, it is my pleasure to ask for the advice and consent of the Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the
Virgin Islands on the nomination of Mr. Roy L. Moorehead, His resume and questionnaire are enclosed for
your review. I respectfully urge the Legislature to take timely action to advance this nomination to prevent any
delays in the official functions of the Board of Parole.
Your prompt and favorable confirmation will enhance the Board of Parole to meet its demanding
operations and the continued work to serve the people of the United States Virgin Islands.
