GOVERNOR MAPP AND THE OFFICE OF COLLETIVE BARGAINING 
ANNOUNCE THE RETIREMENT OF DR.VALDEMAR HILL, JR.  
  
(August 7, 2015, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands) Governor Kenneth Mapp announced the 
retirement today of Dr. Valdemar A Hill, Jr.  Dr. Hill served as the Chief Negotiator, the exclusive 
representative in the Office of Collective Bargaining for the past six years.    
  
Dr. Hill, stated in a letter to the Governor,” I thank you for your confidence in me for serving you 
in the capacity of Chief Negotiator.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working in this position as I 
interacted not only with unions and their members, but also with the management of your 
administration“.  
  
Governor Mapp thanked Dr. Hill for his years of service to the people of the Virgin Islands “Dr. 
Valdemar Hill has represented the Government as the Chief Negotiator since 2009, I appreciate 
the effort that he has put forward on our behalf and I wish him all the best in his retirement.”  
  
Dr. Valdemar Hill is expected to retire August 31st, 2015.
