Sampling of Water Supply Wells During May/June 1994, Tutu Wells Site, St. Thomas,
U.S. Virgin Islands.
Dear Ms. Simmonds:
The Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC) is currently implementing a
Remedial Investigation (RI) that includes an evaluation of the groundwater quality in the Tutu
area. This work is being conducted in accordance with a work plan approved by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The sampling activities are being coordinated with
the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR).
On behalf of the TEIC, Geraghty & Miller, Inc. is coordinating the sampling activities
in the Tutu area. This letter serves to notify the Virgin Islands Housing Authority, as property
owner, that Supply Well VIHA I and VIHA III is tentatively scheduled for sampling on May 26,
1994. 
Removal of non-functioning pumps and piping will likely be required prior to this
sampling date. 
Access to your property will be in accordance with the signed Site Access
Agreement dated September 1990, granting Geraghty & Miller access to conduct the sampling
activities.
