33-year-old Man Found Dead in Christiansted; Apparent Suicide 
 
St. Croix, USVI - On April 17, 2023, at approximately 4:29 p.m., the 911 Emergency 
Dispatch Center received a call requesting police at North Street, Christiansted to an 
unresponsive male individual. Upon police arrival it was observed the body of a male on the 
floor in a seated position with a cloth belt tight around his neck. The body was in an advance 
stage of decomposition. The deceased was identified by a next of kin as 33-year-old, Ade E. 
Raphael.
