Education Commissioner to Update Community on 
Modifications to School Reopening Plan for SY 2020-2021   
ST. THOMAS, USVI – Department of Education Commissioner Racquel Berry-Benjamin will hold 
a press conference to update the community on the V.I. Department of Education’s recent decision 
to begin the 2020-2021 school year fully online at 10 a.m. AST on Thursday, August 13, 2020. 
In keeping with CDC and Virgin Islands Health Department guidelines to adhere to social 
distancing, no media will be allowed into Government House and the press briefing will be 
conducted via conference call.
