RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES 
UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS 
 
 
 
Purpose: To Approve the Student Code of Conduct. 
 
 
 
 
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2012, the Cabinet of the President of the University of the Virgin 
Islands supported the advancement of the draft Student Code of Conduct for presentation at 
Student Forums and for review by Staff Council and Faculty; and 
 
WHEREAS, amendments received by Faculty and Cabinet as the result of that review were 
incorporated into a draft that was submitted to the Academic, Research and Student Affairs 
Committee of the Board of Trustees for its review; and 
 
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2012 the Academic, Research and Student Affairs Committee of the 
Board voted to recommend to the Board the approval of the Student Code of Conduct with 
additional amendments; 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE 
UNIVERSITY: 
 
1. The Student Code of Conduct, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, is hereby approved. 
 
2. That the President be authorized to take such actions as are necessary and proper to 
implement this resolution. 
 
3. This resolution shall become effective June 9, 2012.
