Temporary Closure of Mars Hill Second Floor for Safety Precautions 
For Immediate Release: September 11, 2025 
ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - Due to unforeseen circumstances requiring immediate safety 
measures, the second floor of our Mars Hill location — which houses Issuance, JOBS, and Quality 
Control under the Division of Family Assistance, as well as the Medicaid Office of Special Services — 
will be closed for the remainder of today. 
 
This precaution is being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and the community we 
serve. DHS is working closely with security and law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of its 
staff and the public. All impacted services will resume normal operations tomorrow during standard 
business hours. 
 
We regret any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and thank the public for their patience 
and understanding.
