An Act amending title 11 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 21, section 1213 to allow businesses 
operating under a trade name to have the option of renewing the trade name every two, six, or

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  (a) Title 11 Virgin Islands Code chapter 21, section 1213 is amended by

inserting “, six, or ten” after “two”, by inserting “for a two-year renewal, $300 for a six-year 
3 
renewal and $500 for a ten-year renewal” after “ “$100”.

(b) 
The sum of $50,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, 
5 
from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Office 
6 
of the Lieutenant Governor to implement subsection (a).

(c) 
Subsection (a) of this act takes effect 180 days after enactment.
