Dear Senator Joseph, 
I extend warm greetings to you and the distinguished members of the Committee on Rules and 
Judiciary. I am writing to respectfully inform you that the Virgin Islands Police Department will be 
unable to appear and provide testimony at the upcoming hearing on Bills No. 36-0144 and 36-0105 
due to ongoing departmental initiatives and unavoidable scheduling conflicts that coincide with the 
scheduled hearing date. 
The Virgin Islands Police Department greatly appreciates your continued leadership and the 
Committee’s steadfast support of our mission to enhance public safety and combat crime across our 
territory. Your ongoing collaboration and advocacy remain vital to the success of our shared efforts to 
maintain a safe and secure Virgin Islands. 
Please be advised that our position on the referenced bills remains unchanged. Accordingly, we hereby 
submit our previous testimony for the Committee’s consideration and reaffirm our support of the 
positions previously expressed therein. 
We thank you for your understanding and continued partnership. Should there be a future opportunity
