Owners of estates are to specify in writing the exact number of acres in sugar cultivation, in. cotton cultivation, 1n other cullivation and in pasture. Also information concerning the buildings on the ¢state and the appropriaiion tuereof, especially if there are rcoms rented to other than laborers permanently em- ployed, and the length and width of said rooms and the reatal thereof. If any portion of the laud is considered to be useless, and yields no revenue to the owner, the number of acres of such portion must be stated in the taxiist and a certificate on oath issued by the pio- prietor and two Burghers residing in the guarter, amd furthermore attestcd by the ey ol x A NIIN Quarter Officer, and delivered to the Commission. Owners of empty lots in town are re- quested to fill in the taxlists accurately, giving the information desired, in order that it may be ascertained if any new buildings have been erected on the pro- perty during-the year, also stating the time when such buildings were first occupied. . In case persous neglect to deliver a taxlist for any estate in due time, the Commission will, be-= fore closing the meeting assess the tax for said estate according to the best of its knowledge. Taxlists wvhich are forwarded later t. the Co nmission, will, together with a list of those estates that have omit- ted to send in their taxlists, be transmitted to the Government in order that other measures be taken. Blanks for taxlisis will be distributed some qays previous to thz meeting of thz Tax Commission and are required to be accurately filled out by the parties concerned and delivered 1o the ommis- sion on the day which 1s fixed {or each street in the town and each quarter iln the country.
