prices
ofe necessities
of life, incidenc
to
the
aforementioned
advance
in the
rate
of
exchange,
hereby
determine

by
this
proclamation

in
order
to
provide
suficient
means
whereby
the
employes
of
the
Government
of the
said
Virgin
Islands
of the Urited S ates
may ~btain sufficient
necessities

under
the salaries
now
paid
to
such
employes
in
the
cur-ency
of
the
said
Is'ands,
and
in
order
that
the public 2ood will be promoted thereby,
to
add
ro
the
salacies
of said employes,

authcrize

direct,
effective
immediately and until
otherwise
provid-
ed,
