and appropriating $10,000 from the St. Croix Capital Improvement Fund to the Virgin Islands

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Act No. 8950 is amended by adding sections 4 and 5:

“SECTION 4.  The public roadway commonly known as Belvedere Road on the 
3 
island of St. Croix is re-named the “Alicia “Chucky” Hansen Road”.  The Department of 
4 
Public Works shall, within 90 days of the enactment of this act, erect at each end of 
5 
Belvedere Road, a sign bearing the inscription “Alicia “Chucky” Hansen Road”.

SECTION 5.  Notwithstanding the use restrictions of the St. Croix Capital 
7 
Improvement Fund established in 33 V.I.C §3087(a), there is appropriated the sum of 
8 
$10,000 from the St. Croix Capital Improvement Fund of the Treasury of the Government 
9 
of the Virgin Islands to the Virgin Islands Department of Public Works in the fiscal year 
10 
ending September 30, 2026, to erect the signage authorized in section 4.”
