slaughter
house

been
fixed
by the Colo
nial Council.
My attention
was called
to
that
a
few days
ago,
unfortunately
to
late
to bring in
a
bill
to provide tor the
necessary
remedy;
however,I sent
the
individual to the
Despatching
Secretary.
I will relate
the
case—At
present
every
butcher
is
charged
$25.00,
whether
he
kills a goat,
a pig,
or
‘a calf, once
a veur
or avery day,
he pays
the
same
amount.

shame.
When
the

a member
of
the
Municipal
Committee
and
I
know
that

were
fixed
for
using
it by
the Council.

charged
every
butcker
for
using
it;
his
idea
then
was
to
put
every
other
butcher
eut of business.
That
has
been
aoing
on
for
sometime,
and
many
per-
sons
have
made
sacrifi.es
by
securing
licenses,
but
were
afterwards
told
that
they
cannot
slaughter
without
paying
$25.00
per
year.
The
case

is that ofa
boy, his father died
and

he

father
had
been doing by kill-
ing ag at occasionally,
but
he
was
