agreement
whereby

obtains
concessions

question
caused
some delay
in the

liminary negotiations
between
them.

Warsaw
Govt.
was
not
responsible
for the affair and that
a
so:ution
will be found by the
League
of
Nations.
In
the
meantime,
the
two
countries
have
decided
to
send
a
joint
note
to Poland,
recommending
modera-
tion
on
the
subject,
and
the
‘'Petit
Parisien’’
says
it has
already
been
dis-
patched
to Warsaw.

has
communicated
to
the
Academy
of
Science
an invention by M.Leth, a French
engineer,
consisting of the use of an elec-
trically illuminated
cable
toallow
ships
to
locate
the
entrance
to
ports

of Marine,
who witnessed
the trials, has
deeided
to
install such
