VIDHS Division of Family Assistance Announces SNAP Certification Unit 
Closure on July 29th 
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (VIDHS) Division of Family 
Assistance (DFA) announces the closure of its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) 
Certification Units in both the St. Thomas/St. John and St. Croix districts on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. 
This closure allows staff to conduct essential administrative reviews and compliance activities to 
ensure the continued efficient delivery of services to the community. Regular SNAP services and in-
person certifications will resume on the next business day, Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
