recent
experience

dicates
that there
is
developing
consid-
erable laxity
in the redemption
of
C. O.
D.
parcels,
due
no
doubt
to
the fact
that patrons
of
this
service
have
gain-

understanding
that
they
have
30 days in which
to
claim such
mail, and
that it will be returned
to sender

the
expiration of
30 days
without
any
obli
gation
or
expense
attaching
to
the
ad
dressee.
To import goods,
have the
send-
ers
prepay
postage
and
C.
O.
D.
fee,
and
eventually
fail
to
redeem
such
importations,
necessitating
the
coliection
of return-postage
from
senders,
and
im
posing needless
labor
on
the
postal
ser-
vice in hand'ing
and ‘re-handling of such
matter,
is obviously
to take an
undue
ad-
vantage
of the privileges
offered by
the
C. 0.
D.
service,
and
it
is
desired
to

strongly

concerned

same
time
all
patrons

service
are advised
that

cases

senders
do

restrict
delivery
