An act appropriating the sum of $430,000 from the Budget Stabilization Fund to the Roy Lester 
Schneider Hospital and Medical Center to purchase a 3-D mammography machine for use in 
the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the use restrictions of the Budget Stabilization Fund, 
2 
established in title 33 Virgin Islands Code section 3100m, the sum of $430,000 is appropriated 
3 
from the Budget Stabilization Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to 
4 
the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital and Medical Center in the fiscal year ending September 30, 
5 
2026 to purchase a 3-D mammography machine (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis), for use in the 
6 
Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute.  The funds shall also be used for site preparation, 
7 
installation, calibration, staff training, initial warranty/service agreement and necessary 
8 
accessories.

SECTION 2.  The funds appropriated in section 1 remain available until expended.
