PUBLIC NOTICE 
 
 
Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the 
public that the following St. Thomas Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is 
scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 4:00pm. This meeting will be held via the video 
conferencing platform Microsoft Teams.  The agenda is as follows:  
 
Decision Meetings (public testimony will not be heard) 
Decision Meeting on Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0037-25- George C. Scott Fire 
Station Reconstruction and Safe Room Project. The project, submitted by The Virgin Islands Fire and 
Emergency Medical Services, proposes demolition and reconstruction of the station along with 
construction of an internal safe room. The new structure will be a single story measuring 
approximately 8,240 gross square feet. The proposed facility will be constructed in virtually the same 
footprint as the existing with a minor expanded footprint to accommodate the additional square 
footage. The project is located at Plot 390, Estate Anna’s Retreat, New Quarter, Charlotte Amalie St. 
Thomas, Virgin Islands, 00802. 
 
Decision Meetings (public testimony will not be heard) 
Decision Meeting for Federal Consistency Determination, CZM0043-25- Fortuna Fire Station 
and Safe Room Project. The project, submitted by The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency 
Medical Services, proposes demolition and reconstruction of the station as well as the 
construction of an internal safe room. The modular facility that is located on the site will be 
removed prior to construction. The project is located at 3C-C-1 Estate Fortuna, St. Thomas 
Virgin Islands, 00802. 
 
Public Hearing (Public Testimony will be heard) 
Public Hearing for Major Coastal Zone Management No. CZMJL0011-25- MSI Building 
Supply- Permit Renewal. The project proposes to have their permit renewed to continue 
with the existing construction material business. The project is located at Plot No. 8 & 43A, 
Crown Bay Fill, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, 00802.
