Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the use restrictions in 33 V.I.C. §3072(c), there is

appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023, the sum of $479,486.35 from the 
3 
Tourism Advertising Revolving Fund to the Virgin Islands Taxicab Commission for the 
4 
implementation of technological upgrades, including the digitization of paper records and files 
5 
and hiring a consultant to advise on the most suitable equipment and software for the 
6 
technological upgrades.

SECTION 2.  The funds appropriated in section 1 remain available until expended.

BILL SUMMARY

This bill appropriates the sum of $479,486.35 from the Tourism Advertising Revolving 
10 
Fund to the Virgin Islands Taxicab Commission for the implementation of technological 
11 
upgrades including the digitization of paper records and files and hiring a consultant to advise 
12 
on the most suitable equipment and software for the technological upgrades.
