71-year-old Man Lost Life in Attempt to Stop Moving Vehicle 
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at approximately 
10:19 a.m., the Wilbur Francis Command Patrol Officers were dispatched by the 911 
Emergency Call Center to Estate Little Fountain to investigate a one vehicle automobile 
collision. 
Upon their arrival at the scene, they observed an unresponsive male lying in the driveway.  
Preliminary investigation revealed that the male attempted to stop a moving vehicle as it 
began to roll downhill. Subsequently, the vehicle rolled over the male resulting in his death. 
The male was identified by next of kin as 71-year-old Mr. Terry Stephen Watson.
