This includes Head Start Schools, Senior Recreation Centers, and all other DHS facilities. Commissioner Averil George thanked the community for their patience during the weather-related closure, stating: “We are grateful for the community’s understanding as we prioritized safety during the inclement weather. We are pleased to resume all services and programs, and we look forward to continuing our mission of serving the people of the Virgin Islands.” Essential services — including Meals on Wheels, Homemaker Services, and Transportation — continued throughout the weather closure, ensuring critical support remained available to those in need.
