Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  (a) The sum of $1,500,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending 
2 
September 30, 2024, from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin 
3 
Islands to the Roy L. Schneider Hospital and Medical Center, to purchase an additional backup 
4 
generator, transfer switches, and to pay for engineering services associated with the installation.

(b) 
The sum appropriated in subsection (a) remains available until expended.
