US VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr., issued the following statement Friday on the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:

” Justice Ginsburg was a fearless fighter for women’s rights throughout her career on the court and a guiding light for civil rights and gender equality advocates worldwide. Despite her small stature, she was a towering figure in American jurisprudence. The entire Virgin Islands community joins the nation and the rest of the world in mourning her passing.”

Governor Bryan has ordered that all flags shall be flown half-staff immediately until the date of interment,
 
as a mark of respect and honor on the passing of  Justice Ginsburg.
