Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Title 5 Virgin Islands Code, subtitle 3, part I, chapter 305, subchapter I,

section 3561, subsection (a) is amended by inserting “enforcement officer of the Virgin Islands 
3 
Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation,” after “enforcement officer of the Department of 
4 
Licensing and Consumer Affairs,”.

BILL SUMMARY

This bill amends title 5 Virgin Islands Code, subtitle 3, part I, chapter 305, subchapter I, 
7 
section 3561, subsection (a) by granting peace officer status to enforcement officers of the 
8 
Virgin Islands Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation who qualify for and maintain their 
9 
status as a peace officer.
