CIB Investigates an Incident that Led to the Arrest of Two St. Thomas 
Men  
 
St. Thomas, USVI - On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the Criminal Investigation Bureau on St. 
Thomas arrested 32-year-old Anwar Gregory and 27-year-old Lavelle Campbell II, charging 
both individuals with Assault in the Third Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First 
Degree, Brandishing & Exhibiting or using Deadly Weapons and Disturbance of the Peace. 
In addition to the above listed charges, Mr. Campbell II was also charged with Unlawful 
Possession of a Firearm.  
 
Mr. Gregory was held on $25,000.00 bail and Mr. Campbell was held on $50,000, pending 
further court action.  
 
The incident occurred in the Estate Contant area on Friday, April 7, 2023. Days following the 
incident, the Criminal Investigation Bureau was made aware of video being circulated via 
WhatsApp messenger, involving two males, who possessed firearms during a heated 
altercation. The males were later identified as Mr. Anwar Gregory and Mr. Lavelle Campbell 
II.  
 
This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone
