Action Taken by UVI Board of Trustees

Special Tenure



It was reported that there were two candidates being considered for special tenure, Dr. Douglas

Larche and Dr. Joseph Gaskin. It was noted that it was the third time that the candidates were

being presented to the ARSA Committee due to the fact that there were unresolved issues

surrounding tenure-in-waiting each time they were presented.



The Academic, Research and Student Affairs Committee of the Board voted unanimously to

approve both candidates for special tenure and forwarded their names to the full Board for

consideration and approval.



The Board of Trustees, at its meeting of Saturday, October 31, 2009, unanimously approved the

two candidates presented for Special Tenure.
