17-Year-old Succumbed to his Gunshot Wounds; 7th Street Shooting   
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas- On June 30, 2022, 9:37pm a caller reported to 911 that several 
shots were fired on 7th Street, Sugar Estate, Charlotte Amalie. Officers were dispatched to the 
scene where they discovered 2 males with a gunshot wound.  
EMS was also on scene attending to the victims. One victim received a gunshot wound to the 
leg; The other victim received multiple gunshot wounds to body.  Both were transported by 
Ambulance to RLSH Hospital. The victim with the leg wound remains in stable condition.  
On Sunday July 3, 2022, CIB was notified at 10:59a.m., that one of the victims identified in 
the shooting as Janyi Barry 17-years-old succumbed to his injuries at the RLS Hospital.  
This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau, Major Crime 
Division. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, 340-774-
