CIB Arrested 37-Year-Old Man Facing Multiple Charges 
Including Kidnapping 
 
St. Croix USVI-- On November 14, 2021, at 8:01 p.m., a concerned citizen reported to the 
911 Emergency Call Center that an unknown male individual was at her residence seeking 
help, covered in blood, and handcuffed. The victim told the homeowner that he was 
kidnapped and beaten 
On Friday, November 18, 2022, at 9:00a.m., Mr. Lawton Prince 37-years-old was present at 
#45 Mars Hill, Police Station Frederiksted, with his legal representation. Mr. Prince was 
placed under arrest pursuant to an arrest warrant signed by Judge Yolan Ross on November 4, 
2022.   
Mr. Prince   was charged with False Imprisonment/Kidnapping, Assault 1st, Mayhem, 
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and 
Assault 3rd. He was unable to post bail of $75,000.00 and was remanded to the John A. Bell 
Adult Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
