Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands 
Approving the Gift Acceptance Policy 
 
 
WHEREAS, the University of the Virgin Islands has made significant strides to cultivate 
relationships with corporations, foundations, friends and alumni constituents, and 
 
WHEREAS, the Development Committee of the UVI Board of Trustees wants to ensure 
donations received by the University are consistent with our Mission and Vision as well as 
adhering to higher education and IRS standards, and 
 
WHEREAS, the Development Committee has voted to recommend to the Board of Trustees the 
UVI Gift Acceptance Policy for consideration. 
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY: 
 
That the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands hereby authorizes and 
approves, the UVI Gift Acceptance Policy, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A. 
 
 
CERTIFICATION 
 
The Undersigned does hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and exact copy of a resolution 
approved by the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands at a meeting on March
