FOOD HANDLER HYGIENE 
Jewelry are not only potential physical 
hazards but they can also hide dirt and 
bacteria. Food handlers should not wear 
earrings, watches, or rings. The only 
jewelry permitted is a plain wedding 
band. 
Hands  
Use proper handwashing techniques.   
Nails should be short and clean; No 
false nails or nail polish. 
Hair must be covered with a hairnet or 
hat. Men must also wear a beard net or 
be clean shaven.
