THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner VIPD NEWS RELEASE - 112623-364 For Immediate Media Distribution November 27, 2023 Update: Joseph Greaux Now in Police Custody St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – An adult female called 911 to report that her ex- boyfriend, Joseph Greaux, discharged shots at her friend, in the vicinity of the Value Pack Gas Station located in La Grande Princesse at about 10:22 p.m. on November 24, 2023. Officers traveled and found spent casings on the roadway and several casings at the service station. During the investigation, detectives learned that Mr. Greaux exited his vehicle (a gray Acura TSX), then approachedd the victim’s vehicle armed with a gun. As the driver drove away, Mr. Greaux discharged three shots at the vehicle. While his ex-girlfriend stood outside the vehicle, Mr. Greaux started to assault her causing injuries to her mouth, chin and arms. On Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 9:25 p.m., Mr. Anthony Greaux turned himself in at the Wilbur Francis Command and was taken into custody. He was Mirandized and decline to provide a statement. Greaux was processed and remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility in Golden Grove after he was unable to post the $100,000.00 bond that was set as per chart. ###
