stand
that
this Colonial Council
should
accept
a
tax
ordinance

tence.

to

around

places

a copy of the
law
might be to study

law.
As
a
duly
representative
member
of the
people
he
is
entitled
to
all

privileges
of

Council.

or not a member

rows

copy of the law,

happens

miscuously
to
see
a
copy,
does
not give
him
the right
to
come
here
and
vote
on
the
matter
without
giving
it
careful
study.
1 hope
the
interpretation
put
upon my remarks
will
not
remain
in the
miads of the Members
of this Council
I
did it because
I wanted
to
safeguard
the
act and the Council.

find me voting

as I receive

their

excel-
lent
style
whieh
elicited
loud
ap-
plauses
and encores
from
the enthusias-
tic gathering
around. - The
crowd

joyed the jazz.
