The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NCRS) will provide hands-on training 
on  accessing the Virgin Islands Soil Survey online map at the USDA-NCRS' Web Soil 
Survey - A web-based program that provides access to site-specific soil survey 
information through aerial photos & maps.

FIRMette Workshop 
The FIRMette workshop introduces participants to the Federal Emergency Management 
Agency (FEMA) online Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).  The FIRMette is a full-scale 
section of an official FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map.  The instructor-led workshop will 
cover how to:

Find a flood map; and,  
• 
Create a FIRMette  
Participants should bring their own wireless internet-ready laptop computer.
