here

the

a
tour, aud
is traveliing in-

He
visited
Wrederikkirke
at
the
10
o’clock service
and
vwas
met
at
the
prin-
cipal entrance
by the foimer
first
lieute-
nant
in the late Militia Corps—Mr.
Amos
R. Benjamia,
whois
the
Clerk
of
the
Parish;
and given
a
respectful
welcome
in the
name
of the congregation.
Rever-
end
Christensen,
the
Parish
Minister
was absent
on
a pastoral
visit to
the
ad-
jacent island of St.
John.

The Bishop
was invited
to
conduct
the
services,
but
excused
himself and reques-
ted Mr. Benjamin
to proceed,
but
at
its
conclusion,
zave
the elosing
benediction.
Bishop Ustenfeid
is
accompanied
by
Mrs.
Ostenfeld,
and
ali
attention
was
paid her by Mrs. Christensen.
The Congregation
regrets
exceedingly
that the visit was
so short
as
the
Bishop
and
his lady proceeded
on the
tour by the
“Parana’’,
as
it
would
have
afforded
them much
pleasure
to
see
more
of
the
bishop and entertain
him and his wife in
a becoming
manner.
The
Lutheran
Churches
in
these
is-
lands
before
the transfer
were
included
in Sjaelland’s
Sce; and this
distinguished
Prelate
was
much
interested
not
only
in
the spiritual welfare
but also
in the
tem-
poral
affairs
connected
with
the
churches:

the
