enable
the
exeavators

clear
the lid of the

shrine,

been
necessary
to

mortuary

Carter
stated
that
he

to huve
the
disman-
tlement
of
the
lids
of
the
third
and
fourth
shriges
eombpleted
in
about
six-
teen
days,
and
he will
then
be free
to
raise
t-e lid of the sarcophagus.
He anticipate that
the lifting of the lid
will
be
his
most
dithcult
task,
as
he
estimated
the weight
or the single
piece
of granite
at nore

two tons.

members
of Carter’s
staff
say
they
are
as
anxious
as

to
see
what
is under

lid of the sarcophagus,
the formal
work of dismounting

new
remedy for cancer.
The remedy
is called
Carcinolysin
and
has
been
