Re: Nomination of Dr. Safiya George-Virgin Islands Government Hospitals and
Health Facilities Corporation Board of Directors
Dear Senate President Potter:
Transmitted herewith is a request for Dr. Safiya George to have the advice and consent of
(he Legislature for her nomination to serve on the Virgin Islands Government Hospitals and
Health Facilities Corporation, Board of Directors. Initially, I nominated Dr. Sauiya George to
serve on the District Governing Board of the Virgin Islands Government Hospitals and Health
Facilities Corporation. After
I nominated her to serve on the District Governing Board, she
successfully passed through the confirmation process. I greatly appreciate the 36th Legislature’s
approval on her previous nomination. Now, I designate her to also serve on the Virgin Islands
Government Hospitals and Health Facilities Corporation Board of Directors in conformity with
19 V.1.C. § 243 and B.rvan v V.!. GoVt Hasp. & Health Facilities Corp. Accordingly, I request
the Legislature’s affirmation of that further designation.

the benefit of the Territory.
