CORRECTIONS OFFICER PLACED ON LEAVE PENDING  
RESOLUTION OF CHARGES FOR GRAND LARECENY  
 
 Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections Director-designee Rick T. Mullgrav on Thursday confirmed the arrest 
of a Corrections Officer on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The Officer, Odesser Simon, who is assigned to the Golden 
Grove Adult Correctional Facility on St. Croix, has been charged with grand larceny. 
Officer Simon has been placed on administrative leave pending the resolution of criminal procedures. 
Director Mullgrav, dismayed by the unfortunate situation, said, “While the incident occurred outside of the realm of 
the Bureau, we will cooperate and support the efforts of the VI Police Department’s ongoing investigation into the 
charges lodged against Officer Simon. It is our hope that a thorough discovery of the particulars will lead to an 
immediate conclusion of the matter.”
