the
Colonial
Councils of
the Virgin Isiands
of
the United
States
nor
to hold
any
public office
under
the Government
of
said islands:
Provided
further
that
the income
tax
laws
now in force in
the United Staivs
of America
and
those
which
may
herec-
after
be
enacted
shall be
iike vise
in
force
in
the
Virgin
Islands
of
the
United
States
except
that
the proceeds
of such
taxes
shall
be
paid
into
the
treasuries
of said slands.”’
