Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Act No. 8465 is amended as follows:

(a) 
In section 14, designate the existing language as subsection (a) and insert the 
3 
following subsection (b): 
4 
“(b) The sums appropriated in subsection (a) shall be disbursed as follows: 
5 
(1) 
$265,000 to the Virgin Islands Housing Authority for the Williams 
6 
Delight Community Homeownership Program; and 
7 
(2) 
$3,735,000 to the Economic Development Authority for the VI Slice 
8 
Homeownership Program.”

(b) 
In section 15 strike “, for the purpose of 21 V.I.C. § 8 to establish The First-Time 
10 
Homebuyers Program”.

BILL SUMMARY 
1 
This bill amends Act No. 8465, by re-directing the $4,000,000 appropriation to the First-
2 
Time Homebuyers Program to (1) the Virgin Islands Housing Authority for the Williams 
3 
Delight Community Homeownership Program; and (2) the Economic Development Authority 
4 
for the VI Slice Homeownership Program.
